Albany's Nine Pin releases new cider - Bite-Sized

It features locally-sourced honey and hibiscus starfruit green tea, according to a release.

“Our Honey Hibiscus cider is our homage to the incredible work of local pollinators,” Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cider maker at Nine Pin, said in a release. “The combination of floral hibiscus, bright starfruit, and that special touch of New York honey creates a refreshing, botanical cider that’s perfect for welcoming the spring.”

Honey Hibiscus is crafted with apples from Samascott Orchards in Kinderhook and infused with hibiscus starfruit green tea from Short and Stout Tea in Albany. A touch of honey, acquired through Southern Adirondack Apiaries, rounds out the cider with subtle sweetness, according to a release.
