Arlene M. Hogan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Arlene M. Hogan, age 97, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 8, 2025.

Arlene was born June 2, 1927 and was raised on the family farm in Lisbon, NY. After graduating from Lisbon High School, Arlene attended Binghamton City Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1948. Upon graduation, Arlene worked as a certified Public Health Nurse in Philadelphia, PA. She returned to New York and graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Nursing in 1951 and went to work as a certified Public Health Nurse in White Plains, NY. In 1955, Arlene accepted the position of school nurse for Morristown and Hammond, NY. She met her future husband, James (Jim ) D. Hogan, Jr, while working in Hammond. After heading to California in 1957 for a short time, she returned to NY and married Jim on November 23, 1957. Arlene was a stay at home mom for their 3 children until 1966, when she went back work as the school nurse at Hudson Middle School, Hudson, NY. She worked there until her retirement in 1989. Arlene and Jim travelled the country during their early retirement. Arlene was also active in the community serving on the Board of Directors for COARC and the Home for the Aging. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing bridge, crafting, watching old movies and lunches with the Red Hatters.
