Dorry Kotzin Niskayuna - Dorry Kotzin, age 89 of Niskayuna, NY died after a brief illness on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her apartment at Ingersoll Place. Dorry was born in Troy, NY and lived around the Albany area all her life. She was a graduate of the Emma Willard School in Troy, NY, and graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Psychology. In 1959 she married her lifelong partner of 51 years, Dr. Gerald M. Kotzin. She was very involved in her Jewish community at Congregation Beth Emeth of Albany, including serving as President of the Sisterhood, the Women of Reform Judaism, as well as serving numerous terms in WRJ District #3, including as president.
Dorry is predeceased by her husband, Jerry, her parents, Marcia and Harry Sims, and her brother Alan Sims. She is survived by her children Mark Kotzin (Ellen) of Pittsburgh, PA, Ilissa Hawley (Brian) of Niskayuna, NY, Harry Kotzin (Eileen) of Quartzsite, AZ, and Ross Kotzin (Michelle) of Berne, NY. Grandmother of Diana Kotzin (Kassandra) and Molly Friedman (Josh), Marin and John Hawley and Daron and Claire Mathena. Great Grandmother of Westley, Zeke and Grey Marvin. She is also survived by her special sister-in-law Ronni Sims, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road in Albany on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Beth Emeth Cemetery in Loudonville, NY.
